Market: This is what today's bicycle anti-theft device looks like! Thanks to the world's first automatic Bluetooth lock LINKA keyless now also with the bicycle collection. The German importer Messingschlager has exclusively taken over the distribution of the innovative app-controlled alarm lock.
The LINKA Bluetooth lock heralds a new era in bicycle locks. A key is not required for either locking or unlocking. To lock the lock and activate the alarm at the same time, all you have to do is press a button on the side. Unlocking and alarm deactivation are carried out via app. If the owner approaches at least 1,5 meters, the alarm is deactivated with the appropriate app setting and the lock is automatically unlocked. If you do not want automatic unlocking, you can easily open the lock with a button on the app interface. The latest Bluetooth standard is used for communication between the smartphone and LINKA. If the lock has to be unlocked manually, for example if the battery is empty, this can be done directly on the lock using a 4-digit code.
The LINKA Bluetooth lock acknowledges access by thieves with a 110 dB alarm. If the owner is within a radius of 120 meters, he will also receive a warning in the form of a push notification in the event of unauthorized movement of the bicycle. In addition to anti-theft protection, the innovative app-controlled lock has another function: bike sharing. Friends or customers can be unlocked and thus have easy access to the bike. Resistant to cracking tests is 9 mm square and heat-treated steel. According to the manufacturer, the LINKA Bluetooth lock weighs just 635 grams and the battery life is said to be six to nine months. The current charging status can be easily read via the app. If necessary, the lock can be charged via micro-USB. The LINKA Bluetooth lock is now available from well-stocked specialist retailers for EUR 149,00.
