The two-wheeler shopping cooperativet eG (ZEG) from Cologne offers its e-bike customers a new service. In the future, Europe's largest bicycle retail association will deliver e-bikes with an exclusive four-year guarantee on batteries (rechargeable batteries) from the manufacturer BMZ.
The ZEG has this with it Batteries-Montage-Zentrum GmbH (BMZ) agreed for numerous models from model year 2017. BMZ batteries are installed, for example, in e-bikes with BROSE drive or SR Suntour rear-wheel drive. This applies to many ZEG brand e-bikes. In particular, customers of the well-known ZEG house brands BULLS and PEGASUS benefit from this. The international company BMZ with branches and production facilities in Germany, Poland, China and the USA is one of the leading system suppliers for rechargeable battery packs and chargers. BMZ and ZEG, which have been partners for many years, are showing the industry that it is possible. Customers will be happy, that's for sure. The question of battery life and replacement costs is a core element of the purchase decision for e-bikers.

Hercules GmbH is now also offering this extended service to its e-bike dealers.
In the future, the traditional manufacturer will deliver e-bikes with an exclusive four-year guarantee on all batteries from the manufacturer BMZ.
This is made possible by an agreement that the Hercules parent ZEG has agreed with the battery assembly center (BMZ) for numerous models from the 2017 model year.
BMZ batteries are installed in all Hercules e-bikes with SR Suntour rear-wheel drive and Brose mid-drive motors.
Drivers with sporting ambitions benefit first and foremost from this. The NOS E-MTB series, which celebrated its premiere at last year's Eurobike, is also equipped with BMZ batteries, as are the SR Suntour MTBs "Jarvis Moto" and "Jarvis XC".
But the successful trekking model "Alassio" also has a 650Wh battery from BMZ.
