cycling: At the age of 30: Gerald Ciolek ended his cycling career

29 January 2017 by the editorial office

Cycling: Gerald Ciolek hangs up his cycling shoes and ends his career at the age of 30. It had recently become quiet about the former winner of Milan - San Remo. Last year, Ciolek was active for the ProConti Team Stölting Service Group, but he wasn't able to build on the strong form he used to have.

Time to say goodbye to Gerald Ciolek - after a lively career with many ups and downs, the 30-year-old from Cologne is ending his cycling career. Last season he was still on the road for the ProContinental Team Stölting Service Group, which was dissolved at the end of 2016. He achieved the greatest success of his career in the jersey of the African team MTN-Qhubeka when he triumphed at Milan-San Remo in 2013.

It is not yet known whether Gerald Ciolek will remain in cycling in another capacity.
