LottoNL-Jumbo 2017: team bikes and equipment
When it comes to the team bikes, the signs for LottoNL-Jumbo are all Celeste in 2017 – so you will still be on bikes from the Italian cult manufacturer Bianchi. Specialissima, Oltre XR4, Infinito and Aquila are the weapons of choice and the rest of the technical equipment comes entirely from Japan by Shimano.

racing bikes: Test: Bianchi Specialissima – top Italian classic
The noble Bianchi Specialissima racing machine from the traditional Italian manufacturer is technically perfect and has a lot of style. Anyone who was allowed to drive it for a few hours will dream of it for a long time. There are racing machines that you can actually only drive in very special places. Some are at home on the cobbled streets of northern France or Belgian hills, others want the hot summer sun […]
LottoNL Jumbo 2017: breakthrough or stagnation?
Team LottoNL-Jumbo has had a thoroughly satisfactory season. This is not due to the old hands in the team, but to a 23-year-old: Dylan Groenewegen was able to win 11 of the 19 wins. The Dutchman came out of nowhere and can look back on a very successful first year in the WorldTour. However, the sprinter mostly avoided duels with the top sprinters. In his first Tour de France, he occasionally sprinted into the top 10, but he still had no chance of winning. With Robert Gesink, a former super talent was also able to report back. The now 30-year-old struggled a lot with injuries but ended up winning an exciting stage at the Vuelta a Espana. As in previous years, Sep Vanmarcke was a guarantee for top placings in one-day classics. With third place at the Ronde van Vlaanderen and second place at Gent-Wevelgem, he has fulfilled his target. The really big hit is still denied to him. It is certainly gratifying that George Bennett and Primoz Roglic were able to take a step forward in their development.
In the coming season, Team LottoNL-Jumbo will probably not change very much. The changes were carried out almost true to position. Classic hunter Sep Vanmarcke is replaced by Lars Boom, sprinter Moreno Hofland by Juan Jose Lobato. Whether Jürgen Van den Broeck will really be able to replace Wilco Kelderman seems rather unlikely. Although Kelderman couldn't really move forward in 2016 either. But in general, not much can be expected from Van den Broeck. But Steven Kruijswijk could still become a big one. Notorious for years as a top talent, the now 29-year-old was absolutely convincing at the Giro d'Italia. He might even have won the tour if he hadn't fallen on the 19th stage. It is he who could lift the LottoNL-Jumbo team into completely new spheres. He will probably try his luck again at the Giro d'Italia. He definitely has a score to settle there.
