General: Orica-BikeExchange becomes Orica-Scott

13 December 2016 by the editorial office

Mitchelton-Scott

News in brief: After the recent name change from Orica-Greenedge to Orica-BikeExchange, the Australian team has a new name to remember for 2017. Esteban Chaves and his teammates will be lining up for Orica-Scott next season – the previous bike supplier is expanding its support for the Australian racing team.

Since 2012, Scott has been the bike supplier for the team from Oceania, and now they want to further intensify their commitment also because of the promising performances in recent years and are moving into the position of co-title sponsor. Another possible cause could be the loss of IAM Cycling, which previously also raced with Scott Bikes, but will cease racing at the end of the year.
