General: Christoph Sauser: resignation from resignation

8 December 2016 by Andrew Waldera

MTB cycling: After retiring in June 2015, the three-time marathon world champion Christoph Sauser made a comeback in 2017. Together with the Czech Jaroslav Kulhavy, the Swiss will contest the Cape Epic 2017 for Specialized Racing next March. The successful duo was already successful in the renowned stage race in 2013 and 2015.

With his comeback, the five-time Cape Epic winner could set a new record again. His last record was equalized last year by Team Bulls driver Karl Platt, so in 2017 Christoph Sauser could present it again with a sixth win. It won't be easy for the Sauser / Kulhavy team, of course, as they also meet the current defending champions Platt / Huber in South Africa. The Topeak-Ergon Team Hynek / Lakata and the Scott-Odlo Team Schurter / Stirnemann also have their sights set on victory. After the 2017 season, Christoph Sauser should definitely be over - but let's wait and see.
