Cycling: After just a year in the second division of cycling, the German team Stölting returns to the third division. This was announced today by Hans Mosbacher, the managing partner of the Stölting Service Group.
Forward with a step back
In the middle of last year, the team management formulated the goal of building a Pro Continental team in the future. As such, they actually started this year, but due to the unexpected withdrawal of the title sponsor, the original plan could not be pursued any further. The main sponsor, the Stölting Service Group, took over the costs themselves. This enabled the many young and talented drivers to gain experience on the most diverse continents and achieve great results. Nevertheless, the team would like to voluntarily take a step back and start again in 2017 as a third-class Continental racing team. This is the best way to fulfill the main focus of promoting young German talent. Another piece of news was also circulated during the press release: the company sailactive.com will act as co-title sponsor in the future.
