Market: The Stevens Jura, which was introduced last year, is getting another addition for the 2017 model year: four variants with the newly developed carbon frame have been added to the existing aluminum models. Not only the balanced geometry is remarkable, but above all the very attractive price.
With 120mm, a moderate geometry with a long reach and a rather slack head angle, the Stevens Jura belongs to the modern breed of marathon bikes that also cut a fine figure as a sporty trail tourer or as a good-natured trail bike. At the Eurobike Media Days in Kirchberg, the manufacturer from the far north presented the Jura Carbon carbon fiber addition for the all-round fully. Unsurprisingly, the geometry is based on the aluminum counterpart and the alignment naturally remains the same - but the weight of the frame and complete bikes drops significantly.
The full carbon frame weighs just 2020g, the slightly cheaper model with an aluminum rear triangle also remains well under the 2.500kg mark at 3g. The latter is only used on the entry-level model Stevens Jura Carbon - all other equipment variants also have a rear triangle made of carbon. All frames have the new Boost standard and the wheel size in common: while the smallest 16″ size is still 27,5″, the other frame sizes are only available with the large 29″ wheels.
