Spectrum: MAGURA 24 hours from Duisburg: In August, the "pot" is boiling again

June 1, 2016 by Andrew Waldera

Spectrum: From August 6th to 7th, the cult event MAGURA 24 hours from Duisburg will take place in the midst of the impressive industrial backdrop of the landscape park Duisburg-Nord. On the 8,5 kilometer circuit, soloists as well as teams of two, four and eight will not only compete against the competition, but above all against the clock. The bikers can train on the route on three dates in advance, the first date is next Saturday, June 4th.

The official training session, which takes place on Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 13.00 p.m., is organized by Peter Bongartz. Participants in the race thus have the opportunity to get an idea of the profile and condition of the route. Organizer Peter Bongartz has been taking part in the spectacle in Duisburg with the Siemens Turbo bikers for many years, and this year the team will again be at the start for a good cause. In the seven years that the Siemens Turbo Bikers have been actively involved in a charity campaign, more than 85.000 euros have already been raised.

The two other official training sessions will then take place on July 2nd and July 23rd. Attention: Unfortunately, registrations for the MAGURA 24 hours from Duisburg are no longer possible, the cult event has been sold out for a long time! Anyone who still wants to actively take part in a 24-hour race this year can do so with the FOCUS 24-hour race in Stuttgart. Registration for the young event, which will go into the second round on August 27th and 28th, is still open.
