Spectrum: On July 10, the 8th edition of the Tannheimer Tal bike marathon starts on the route that has been tried and tested over the past year. Extensive renovation work on the Arlberg Tunnel made it necessary to change the 2015-kilometer loop in 224. The new route was so well received that it was retained for the upcoming Tannheimer Tal bike marathon.

The Tannheimer Tal bike marathon covers a distance of 224 kilometers via Oberjoch, Jungholz, Wertach, Oy-Mittelberg, Ofterschwang and the Riedberg Pass, at 1.407 meters the highest pass in Germany. The 42-kilometre ascent to the Hochtannbergpass is also going to be very tough. The route then leads along the wildly idyllic Lech to the last hurdle of the race, the Gaichtpass. Start and finish of the bike marathon marks Tannheim. All in all, the starters of the long distance have to climb a hefty 3.300 meters in altitude on this day.
Rad-Marathon Tannheimer Tal: 130 kilometers route as RTF
In addition to the long distance, a shorter 130-kilometer route is also offered, which, as usual, will start as an RTF. The participants of the RTF will receive a certificate with the individual time, but in contrast to the long distance there will be no official list of results. The new 85-kilometer route is ideal for beginners, and the starters also receive a certificate of participation. The two shorter variants start on July 10 at 7.00:XNUMX a.m., by which time the long-distance riders have already been in the saddle for an hour.

In the week before the Tannheimer Tal bike marathon, from July 04th to 09th, trips with Gerrit Glomser, Marcel Wüst and Christian Strebl will take place in preparation for the race. At the Radstammtisch, the former cycling pros will again reveal valuable tips and tricks, and the cracks will also share some anecdotes from their cycling careers. On the day of the race, the organizer offers free guided Nordic walking tours especially for the participants' companions; the material required for this will be provided.
