Spectrum / Bike tours: We reported back in November on the bombtrack project “A Journey Beyond” – Marc Maurer rode his bike from Istanbul to Tehran last year, covering almost 5.600km and countless meters in altitude. A film about the impressive journey will be released on June 1st, and a trailer can already be seen.
He crossed snow-capped peaks in the Caucasus, got lost in an Armenian military restricted area, met countless interesting people from all walks of life and, last but not least, was alone with himself and his bike for many days. When he returned from his trip to Tehran, Marc Maurer not only gained a great deal of experience, but also many great stories. A selection of these anecdotes is told in the documentary "A Journey Beyond", which will be released on June 1st: Marc's constant companion was his action cam, with which he documented experiences and, in a certain way, kept a diary. Photographers kept coming up to Marc and additionally documenting his journey.
This hodgepodge of image and video material has now resulted in a full-fledged documentation of the trip, which will be released on June 1st. As a little foretaste, there is already a trailer that gives a nice impression. It's also worth taking a look at the lookbook that was published in November. We look forward to the documentary.
