Market: On the occasion of its 90th anniversary, the Swabian bike clothing specialist GONSO will launch a limited 90s collection next summer. The patterns and styles of yesteryear are brought back to colorful life with the most modern, highly functional materials.
In the colorful 90s, deerskin seat pads and the then high-tech miracle yarn Dunova were still popular, but (fortunately) these give way to modern and highly functional materials in the special edition - what remains is the shrill look of the 90s bike clothing. From June 2016, retro and nostalgia fans can look forward to seven unique products for the road, mountain bike and urban sectors.
With the special collection, the company from the Swabian Alb would like to take its customers on a journey through time - a journey back to the beginnings of the cycling sport of the clothing manufacturer. However, the GONSO success story began much earlier. The family company was founded in 1926 in Albstadt. GONSO made its breakthrough in the 1960s and 1970s with tracksuits and cross-country clothing.
GONSO 90s special collection: A journey through history
From the 1980s, the Swabian company focused on cycling - still the core business of GONSO today. The Swabians were the first to incorporate the highly functional Dunova yarn developed by Bayer into their functional clothing. Another milestone in the company's history was the invention of cycling shorts with an integrated seat pad in Germany. But even today, GONSO is pushing ahead with development, such as with the Carbon 2.0 seat pad.
In addition to the development of high-quality bike clothing, GONSO is very involved in cycling events. This year, cyclists can look forward to attractive attractions and specials. As part of the TOUR Transalp from June 26 to July 2, for example, every 90th stage winner from GONSO will receive a separate award. Also at the World Cup in Albstadt, the participants can expect numerous birthday surprises. GONSO is also planning a surprise for its specialist dealers at the Eurobike.
