cycling: In Velo Veritas: Classic bike tour starts again in 2016 in Wolkersdorf

9 November 2015 by Andrew Waldera

Cycling: For the third edition, the Austrian cycling classic "In Velo Veritas" returns to the starting point in Wolkersdorf. On June 11th and 12th, 2016, lovers of classic racing bikes - whether as active athletes or spectators - will once again immerse themselves in the special flair of "In Velo Veritas" in the Lower Austrian Weinviertel.

The special charm of the tour is characterized by classic racing bikes built up to 1987 and the selective routing through cellar lanes and villages away from the usual picture-postcard idyll. In 2016, participants will again have three routes to choose from: 70, 140 and 210 kilometers including border crossing. The routes will be presented at the beginning of April 2016 as part of the Argus Bike Festival on Vienna's Rathausplatz.

Last year more than 500 enthusiastic cyclists took part in the tour. Some national and international cycling legends are expected at the "In Velo Veritas" 2016, for whom this event is a welcome meeting place for like-minded people - and that in the middle of a wonderful, gently rolling landscape. The participants and spectators of the event are thus granted an exciting look back and insight into the cycling world of the 1960s and 1970s.

Registration for the event, which focuses on deceleration, discovery and experience, starts on November 11 at 11.00 a.m.
