Eurobike / Market: There were some exciting new products for the German market to see at the Sigma Sport stand at the Eurobike, which was always packed to the brim. In addition to the brand new Techo Pure 1, the Lightster USB is a StVZO-compliant front light with USB charging option and a new activity tracker.
Sigma Lightster USB
Bicycle lights with an integrated battery are becoming more and more the standard - many buyers appreciate the simple charging option via USB, and even in times when sustainability is playing an increasingly important role, it is nice that more and more manufacturers are moving away from conventional batteries. So does Sigma, who have a completely new front light in their range with the Lightster USB, which, in addition to the aforementioned charging option via USB, also meets the strict German requirements of the StVZO.
A modern CREE high-power LED with 25 lux and a homogeneous light pattern is installed in the Lightster USB. Lateral recesses improve the radiation so that you are more visible to other road users from the side in road traffic. The Lightster offers two modes - the power mode with 25 lux and a standard mode with 15 lux. In the latter, the battery should last up to seven hours, in power mode the Lightster has to be connected to the micro USB cable again after half the time. The Sigma Lightster USB is available now at a price of €39,95.
Sigma Nuggets
The new Sigma Nugget rear light is the perfect complement to the Lightster USB just mentioned. The compact but efficient design and the 0,5 watt LED guarantee lateral visibility of over 220° and a powerful light pattern that is still clearly visible up to 400 meters away. Of course, like the Lightster USB, the Nugget is StVZO-approved and can be charged via micro-USB. The battery lasts at least six hours and can be fully charged in under two hours. The new rear light costs €19,95 individually, and €57,50 in a set with the Lightster USB.
Sigma Activo
The new Activo is Sigma's first activity tracker and comes with the free Sigma Activ app for Android and IOS. The Activo not only functions as a pedometer, but also evaluates your own movement profile accordingly and shows personal goals and requirements. The Activo also generates a sleep profile, which, like all other data, can be evaluated most easily via the app. The battery should last up to eight days, after which the bracelet has to be connected to the USB cable again. The Active is now available in stores for €64,95.
Sigma Pure 1
With the new Sigma Pure 1 bike computer, the name says it all: the stylish speedometer is puristic. It is the successor to the almost legendary BC 5.12 and appeals above all to all those who do not need or want a full-fledged bike computer, but do not want to do without the basic information: The Pure 1 is limited to speed, daily and total kilometers and average speed.
The pleasantly large display allows the display in three lines, so you always have a clear view of all values. It is operated with just one button - here, too, Sigma relies on "less is more" and promises intuitive menu navigation. The Sigma Pure 1 will be available in both wireless ATS and wired versions. The price of the Pure 1 ATS is €34,95, the version with a cable is cheaper for €24,95. From February 2016 the Pure 1 will hit the shelves.
