Product news: Cannondale SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD: Ultimate street racer in a class of its own

July 6, 2015 by Andrew Waldera

SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD Team

Market: With the new SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD, the cult manufacturer Cannondale is presenting its vision of an ultimate all-round road racer to cycling fans all over the world. For the completely redesigned EVO, every detail and aspect of its award-winning predecessor has been reworked. The goal was to create a bike that offers an optimal balance of explosive rigidity, high riding comfort, precise handling and efficient aerodynamics.

In order to achieve maximum performance, the new carbon frame is even more rigid. Cannondale estimates the stiffness values - compared to the previous model - with an increase of 11% in the bottom bracket area and 12% in the head tube. Cannondale was also able to optimize the weight: 60 grams lighter than the "old" EVO, compared to comparable models from the competition, a weight advantage of 100 grams should provide clear facts.

According to the manufacturer, the Truncated Aero Profile (TAP) of the frame offers improved air resistance and thus aerodynamic efficiency for higher speeds. The newly designed SPEED SAVE Micro-Suspension is intended to guarantee the driver more driving comfort and higher cornering speeds with maximum control. The Cannondale SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD will be available in seven different versions.
