cycling: Start Tour Transalp: Glomser, Sievers, Prostyle – you should be three friends

June 28, 2015 by Marcus Degen

Today, Sunday, at ten o'clock the Tour Transalp started in Sonthofen, which, as always, leads the 600 teams of two over numerous Alpine passes and seven stages to Lake Garda. Even if the racing bike Transalp is part of the annual routine for many, 2015 is something very special for Velomotion. For the first time there is a Velomotion team at the start!

And it's a very special team. It bears the beautiful name AX-Lightness and consists of the good friends of the house: Gerrit Glomser and Holger Sievers. The team is logistically supported by the team prostyle around Björn Müller, who has none other than Jens Heppner as a noble helper for the aid stations and the massages on board - and whoever at the Transalp gets their tired legs kneaded by a former wearer of a pink jersey.

The atmosphere at the start today was great. 20 degrees and sunshine - what more could you want for a cyclist, even if four passes, including the Hahntennjoch, are waiting for the riders on the first day.

This week we will tell you in detail how our boys are doing and look forward to a few remarkable days.
