MTB cycling: The start of the Downhill World Cup 2015 marks the first time the crisp downhill slope in Lourdes / France. Armed with a helmet cam, Team Santa Cruz Syndicate's Josh Bryceland rocks the challenging course at the edge of the Pyrenees.

On Sunday tomorrow, the best downhill riders in the world will do everything they can to take as many points as possible from Lourdes. The course offers powerful stone passages, fat compressions and speed over a length of over 2,5 kilometers and 470 meters in altitude. The Brit Josh Bryceland demonstrates what a good run can look like during his ride with the Helmcam.

The fastest man in qualifying on Friday was Gee Atherton (GT Factory Racing), also from Great Britain, who with a time of 3:05:449 minutes was 1.527 seconds faster than second-placed Aaron Gwin (Specialized Racing) from the USA. Third fastest driver was Brit Danny Hart (MS Mondraker Team). The British drivers are once again extremely strong at the start in Lourdes.

Rachel Atherton (GT Factory Racing) from Great Britain dominated qualifying for the women. Her time of 3:41:284 was over 5 seconds better than Emmeline Ragot (MS Mondraker Team) from France. One second behind was Myriam Nicole (Commencal / Vallnord) from France. The fastest junior was the Brit Laurie Greenland (Trek World Racing).

The race in Lourdes will be streamed live on Red Bull TV tomorrow from 14:30 p.m. The next stop of the DH World Cup 2015, which consists of a total of seven events, is Fort William in Scotland on June 07th.
