Cycling: The registration gates are now open for the kick-off event of the KMC MTB Bundesliga 2015. On April 25th and 26th, RV Viktoria Wombach is also the host of the Youngsters' Sighting Series (U17-U15) of the German Cyclists' Association and will be the organizer of the German Championship next year.
In the district of Lohr am Main, which is enthusiastic about cycling, people are looking forward to the first international cross-country race in its history and at the same time already have a national event in mind: since the BDR was awarded the contract to host the German Cross-Country Championships last year has, all the preparations are already aimed at that.
The Wombacher have been successfully working with young people for many years. Markus Bauer, third in the DM, has his roots there, as do the two current junior national drivers, Robin Hofmann and Maximilian Brandl.
Even if the internationally renowned KMC MTB Bundesliga is an attraction in itself, the Haibike KMC Festival is also a test run for the DM 2016 for RV Viktoria Wombach also the junior screening series for U25 and U26. It has already been organized twice in Lower Franconia.
The route has hardly changed compared to the Germany Cup last year, but the Wombachers still have a premiere in store. On Saturday, the Eliminator Sprint will take place in the picturesque city center of Lohr. This year, too, the competition counts for half the points in the overall ranking of the KMC MTB Bundesliga.
"This is how we bring mountain bike sport to the spectators and hope for a great response", says Thomas Brandl from RV Viktoria. It is hoped that this will also generate additional interest in the Sunday cross-country races of the Haibike KMC Bundesliga Festival.
The registration portal for all races has been ready to accept the registrations of the athletes for a few days. The link can be found on the club's website www.keiler-bike.de.
The registration window has already been set up for the 15th BiketheRock powered by KMC in Heubach on May 2nd and 3rd.
