General: Crankworx Rotorua: Rheeder wins slopestyle

March 30, 2015 by Andrew Waldera

Lifestyle: The last day of the Crankworx Rotorua mega event in New Zealand should still provide a little drama. After almost 24 hours of constant rain, the slopestyle final was on the brink, but it started with a delay.

The conditions for the riders were anything but optimal due to the softened slope. Canadian Brett Rheeder clinched victory with an almost flawless run. Shooting star Nicholi Rogatkin achieved a very good second place. There will certainly be a lot more to hear and see from the young Bostonian in the future! Third place went to Thomas Genon from Belgium as the best European.
