Market: Last Saturday, the bike of the year was awarded in the Netherlands. The jury chose the Batavus Zonar - a really interesting everyday bike for men and women that offers great value for money.
The jury consisted of members of the Dutch Bicycle Association, consumer researchers and members of the press - given the criteria applied, it is not surprising that the Zonar of Batavus was chosen. The reasoning of the panel stated, among other things, that “In particular, the combination of sportiness, comfort and handling was rated as very good. The bike is light and very well equipped for the price at which Batavus offers it. Everything is right with this bike.”
The geometry, which is sporty for a bike in this class, is combined with roadworthy equipment - everything for everyday use is on board: a stylish luggage rack, unobtrusive mudguards and lighting that is beautifully integrated into the design. The Batavus Aerflow headlights have also received various awards in the past. Prices for the Zonar start at €749 (RRP), are available in men's and women's versions and with or without a suspension fork.
