Cycling: The French UCI Continental Team La Pomme Marseille presents the Austrian bike manufacturer KTM as a new co-sponsor and will henceforth be called Marseille-13-KTM.

The French team La Pomme Marseille has been one of the most successful cycling teams in France for many years and has introduced numerous talents to the world of cycling since its inception. Among them well-known riders such as the 2005 French amateur champion, Rémi Pauriol, Arnaud Jouffroy, 2008 cross-country world champion and Fabio Duarte, 2008 U23 road world champion.

The Marseille team would like to develop into a Pro Continental team in the coming years and achieve the long-term goal of taking part in the Tour de France. For these projects, the French have brought the know-how of the traditional Austrian company KTM on board. Frédéric Rostaing, Team Manager of Marseille-13-KTM, has high expectations of this cooperation: “KTM is a manufacturer with a lot of tradition, which is nevertheless very innovative. And keeps growing year after year. We want to use the joint potential.” The sponsor is also pleased with the arrangement: “La Pomme-Marseille builds on young talents who are promoted and brought up to the top level, which fits in perfectly with our ideas. Now we want to keep growing together.”
In addition to KTM, the team is also supported by the 13th French department, Bouches-du-Rhône. Therefore, the number 13 was included in the new team name and La Pomme Marseille becomes Marseille-13-KTM.
