components: Citec 6000 CX: brake master

Citec 6000CX

Stability and aerodynamics are very important to the Citec 6000 CX. With only 16 spokes in the front wheel and 18 in the rear wheel, annoying air turbulence is reduced. However, this property is not decisive in cross-country skiing in order to cut a good figure off-road. However, the type of spokes is an important aspect. The arcless special spokes and the patented Power Block sleeves, with which the spokes are attached to the hub, ensure high stability and durability of the spokes. Such a small number of spokes is only possible with this trick. The few spokes are also noticeable in the weight.

Despite an aluminum braking surface, the system wheelset at 1360g is not one of the heavyweights and offers optimal braking properties. The tube is glued to a carbon rim, as the aluminum surface is only glued to the carbon rim. Problems that you have with various carbon flanks, such as wear or braking that takes some getting used to, are eliminated with the Citec 6000 CX.

For crossers who think practically and are looking for something durable for more than one cross season, this wheelset is without a doubt recommended because of the aluminum braking surface. The weight remains within limits thanks to the well thought-out construction.
