Market: In 2010, Zipp conquered the firecrest-impeller models the market. Now the Americans are going with them 404 Fire Strike the next step.

The rim shape of the firecrest was pioneering in terms of aerodynamics and rigidity.

With the fire strike-Design, Zipp would like to build on this successful concept. The most striking is the newly developed one Showstopper-Technology that uses a silicon carbide layer to make the brake flanks more grippy in bad weather, thereby increasing braking power.

A slightly slimmer rim shape also ensures less susceptibility to side winds. The Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control System, ABLC for short, is also intended to guarantee better control on windy days. The 404 Fire Strike are with zip 88/188v10-Hubs and Sapim CX Ray- Spoked.

Zipp's brand new wheelset is available now. The prices are 1.450 euros for the front wheel and 1.750 euros for the rear wheel.
