Market: Swedish helmet and apparel manufacturer Poc is proud of its new aero road helmet cerebellum happy about the Eurobike-Award in the accessories category. This was awarded by a jury of experts a week ago.
“The design of the helmet is done very nicely, especially the use of soft material combined with high protection. The product only appeals to a very narrow target group, but this is visually very appealing and served with a good eye for detail.", so the reasoning of the jury.
Poc founder and CEO Stefan Ytterborn was enthusiastic and thanked all partners involved in the development: “We are fortunate to work with so many talented and experienced colleagues. With the Watts-Lab, Volvo and Garmin Sharp riders like Dan Martin, Jack Bauer and Andrew Talansky we have developed an aero helmet with the lowest possible drag at high speeds, but at the same time allowing for dynamic head positioning.”
The Cerebel Race Day is a compact aero road helmet designed to improve aerodynamic performance. Extensive wind tunnel tests and CFD simulations have shown that the cerebellum also convinces with dynamic and changing postures. Compared to a static time trial position, this can have a positive impact on upper body movement and lactate removal. The neck area of the helmet is made of soft EVA. It also has a Zeiss visor, which uses a unique magnet system for attachment and guarantees a secure hold. The size can be adjusted in height and circumference.
