Cycling: The newly crowned world champion Julien Absalon and his teammate Lukas Flückiger, seventh at this year's world championships, are extending their cooperation with the BMC Racing Team for another two years.
It's hard to let go of a world champion and overall World Cup winner. That's exactly what the Swiss bike manufacturer BMC must have been thinking when they extended the contract with their frontman by another two years. After more than seven years, Absalon secured his fifth rainbow jersey a week ago. With the contract extension, the focus is now on the 2016 games in Rio de Janiero.
Lukas Flückiger's contract was also extended until 2016. What will happen to other top players like Ralph Näf and Moritz Milatz is still uncertain.
