Cycling: Cadel Evans, the winner of the 2011 Tour, will, according to the Italian newspaper The Gazzetto dello Sport end his career. The 37-year-old Australian will probably be driving his last race as part of the Tour Down Under 2015.
Former mountain biker turned road pro Cadel Evans is expected to give up his bike after Australia's World Tour race, the Tour Down Under, next January. The 2009 World Champion still wants to remain loyal to his current sponsor BMC, so that Evans will travel the world as a representative and ambassador for the Swiss after the end of his career.
Until then, Evans will keep hunting. He will also start at the upcoming World Championships in Ponferrada, Portugal and fight for the rainbow jersey one last time.
