Lifestyle: Ever wanted to cycle with a Grand Tour winner? Bormio makes it possible. From September 20th to 21st, the RHXDUE will be held in conjunction with Alberto Contador. Anyone wanting to ride with the Spaniard can register for a personalized bib number until September 14th.
At the end of August almost 1.120 racing cyclists found their way to Bormio to tackle the Stelvio Pass at the Scalata Cima Coppi. A similar rush can now be expected at the end of the season. This time, however, it is not the Stelvio Pass that is on the agenda, but the Gavia and the Mortirolo.
Last year, 2.850 enthusiastic cyclists took part in the amateur event. On Saturday, September 20th, Alberto Contador, ambassador of the rh+ brand, will join all the other participants at the starting line along with his Under 23 team, making the RHXDUE a truly special spectacle.
Alberto Contador is currently leading the Vuelta a España. "The Vuelta is good training for me for the climb up the Gavia Pass ," the Spaniard said with a wink. It's also already known that the Mortirolo Pass will be part of next year's Giro d'Italia.
