Market: SRM improves its indoor trainer and now offers it with an electronically controllable flywheel. In cooperation with the company Gobat Magnetic Days, a brake was developed that should offer a realistic driving experience and can be electronically controlled individually.
The brake can be connected to the computer via a USB cable or via Bluetooth. In addition, it can be controlled via an app on a smartphone. Another option is a remote control that is attached to the handlebars and with which the resistance can be manually adjusted in 10 watt increments.
According to SRM, the braking performance of the electronic flywheel should be equal to that of its mechanical counterpart. At a cadence of 40 rpm with a 53 chainring, a maximum braking power of around 330 watts is possible. At 120 rpm and a 53 chain ring, the maximum braking power is 1.590 watts. By installing larger chainrings, the braking power can be further increased in all cadence ranges. The minimum braking power, on the other hand, is 30 watts. Professionals and amateur riders can therefore train on the same device.
The SRM Indoor trainer electronic also has a freewheel, so this is no longer necessary Follow upthat is common on classic spinning bikes. The adjustment of the seat position is stepless and thus allows the position to be taken over exactly from the normal bike.
The price for the SRM Indoor trainer electronic depending on equipment, starts at 4.671 euros. Further information is available at www.srm.de.
