cycling: World Triathlon Series: Gomez celebrates fourth victory in Chicago

Triathlon: In the fifth race of the World Triathlon Series, the Spaniard Javier Gomez celebrated his fourth victory. he is on the verge of defending his title from last year with confidence.

After his sixth place at the race in London, the Galician didn't miss a beat this time. From the start he showed himself to be at the top. He held back while swimming, but quickly led his group to the front on the bike. In the end, he didn't give the other competitors a chance when running.

In the end he won clearly ahead of the Portuguese Joao Pereira and his compatriot Mario Mola.



The American Gwen Jorgensen won the women's race ahead of the British Helen Jenkins and the Japanese Juri Ide.
