The Spaniard was there on one Aeroad CF traveling. This has now been revised. The result: the canyon Aeroad CF SLX.
The Aeroad CF SLX adopts the Trident tube profiles from the in-house time trial car speedmax. At the same time, it should also feature the comfortable driving characteristics of the Ultimate feature.
The developers paid special attention to the main problem of aerodynamics, the opponents of which are actually light weight and rigidity. So step by step they changed the shape of the tube to adapt it to the requirements of a road race. The result is the Trident 2.0-Form that is slightly wider than its model. This is intended to create less drag in a normal street race.
The wider tube shape should also lead to improved rigidity of the frame. In order to meet the requirements for the steering center as well, Canyon has developed the Aerocockpit CF developed its own monocoque. The headset was also adapted to the concept together with Acros.
According to Canyon, the frame tips the scales at a slim 960 grams. It should then be available on the website in various configurations from autumn.
