Cycling: The news about Team Belkin doesn't stop. After announcing that the sponsor will be withdrawing at the end of the year and that some of the top riders are already in negotiations with other teams, management is now reaching out to fans of the WorldTour team.
In search of a new sponsor, the team is now taking a new path. The management has set up a PayPal account and is now asking its fans to transfer 10 euros to it. With this, the team wants to show potential sponsors that it has a large following. [Link]
The team website states: “Effective immediately, the Belkin Pro Cycling Team has begun identifying a new title sponsor for the team. [...] We are confident that we will succeed. But we also want to take things into our own hands through crowdfunding.”
