The Australian company TwoWheelCool has made it its mission to produce high-quality silicone products for cyclists. This includes items that you might not necessarily expect at first glance, but which make perfect sense upon closer inspection – like the wrapper.
The TwoWheelCool Wrapper is a chainstay protector. Its function is also described by this name: It is designed to effectively protect the chainstay paint from scratches that can easily occur due to impacts.

The wrapper is made of silicone. Our test model comes in neon color and is relatively easy to attach to the strut. One side of the wrapper has small lugs, which find their counterpart on the other side in small tabs.
Even when attaching the protector to the strut, it's noticeable that, unlike many neoprene protectors, it doesn't slip. So, you should work carefully here. The tabs are easy to secure in the loops. Our concern that one of the tabs might tear off during attachment also proved unfounded. If the strut happens to be a bit thicker, there's an oversized size available.
In use, the wrapper performs exactly as expected. It doesn't slip and effectively protects the frame from impacts. And these are certainly not uncommon on a cyclocross bike. Furthermore, it has an attractive design and is easy to clean.
