Testing: TwoWheelCool Wrapper: The easy-care strut protector

14 May 2014 by the editorial office

The Australian company TwoWheelCool has set itself the task of producing high-quality silicone products for cyclists. This also includes things that you might not necessarily expect at first glance, but which make sense at second glance - like the Wrapper.

The TwoWheelCool Wrapper is a chainstay protector. This also describes its function: It is intended to effectively protect the paint on the chainstay from scratches that can easily occur from impacts.

equipment and practice

The wrapper is made of silicone. Our test model comes in neon color and is relatively easy to attach to the strut. One side of the wrapper has small lugs, which find their counterpart on the other side in small tabs.

When attaching the protection to the strut, it is noticeable that, unlike many neoprene protectors, it does not slip. So you should work carefully here. The noses can be easily attached in the tabs. Our concern that one of the lugs could tear off when fastening was not confirmed either. Should the strut turn out to be a bit thicker, then there is a size for it oversized.

In use, the beats Wrapper as one would expect from him. It does not slip and effectively protects the strut from impacts. And these are not necessarily rare on crossers. In addition, it is visually pretty and easy to wash off.

Conclusion

The TwoWheelCool Wrapper is an effective helper that protects the strut from scratches and dirt. It's easy to put on and doesn't slip. In addition, it makes a lot of visuals.
