3 May 2014 by the editorial office

Having everything under control off-road leads to more safety and driving pleasure. You can also save valuable seconds in the race. Depending on the discipline, there are special gloves for this reason.

In the endurance area, many athletes swear by thin models that offer comfort on the one hand, but do not cause heat to build up on the hands. From Denmark comes with the Racing a model that is preparing to play at the forefront.

equipment and practice

The GripGrab Racing are processed very cleanly. Nylon, polyester, polyurethane and elastane are used as materials. On the palm there is a two millimeter slim Doctor Gel-Pad, which gently protects the ball of the foot from shocks, but is not too thick to be disruptive in continuous use. The tips of the index and middle fingers are designed in such a way that you can use your smartphone with gloves on.

The top of the gloves is thin enough to guarantee good ventilation during use. For this reason, there are small ventilation holes on the inner surface.

The waistband is made from a slightly stretchy rubber band and fitted with a magnet. This is handy, you can put the left and right gloves together so well. You only have to be careful when washing: During the test phase, it happened to us that one of the gloves preferred the connection to the washing machine drum than to its counterpart. It is positive that the elastic waistband keeps its shape even after several weeks of use and is still tight.

The fit of the Racing is good. The gloves fit snugly and don't slip when in use. However, in our case, the fingers could have been cut a little bit longer. This is especially true for the ring finger. Apart from that, he can Racing however completely convincing. Hardly any other racing glove offers such a direct grip right from the start. Thanks to the light materials used here, you sometimes forget that you are wearing gloves and that you are not gripping the handlebars with your bare hands.

Conclusion

The GripGrab Racing are uncompromisingly designed for endurance use. They are light and thin. Accordingly, they offer little protection for the tougher terrain. But they don't have to. Because anyone who likes off-road kilometers scrubs, who will match the performance of the Racing be completely satisfied. If the size is right, they offer Racing simply excellent grip.
