Product news: Sram presents new four-piston enduro brake Guide

March 26, 2014 by the editorial office

Sram is known to have had problems with brake stability in the past. With the new one Guide-brake you want to leave these difficulties behind and attack in the all-mountain and enduro area. For example, a classic expansion tank is used for the first time and you want to generate enough power with a four-piston system. She solves the Elixir- and X0-Brakes and the associated Taperbore technology. A completely new development is used, especially in the lever area. With the swing link, the master piston is steered via three bearing points, which means that the brake can be better dosed and the pressure point is not so soft.

The Guide will be available in three models this summer. Sram distinguishes between the variants: CSR, the top model, RS and R. The associated brake disc and brake pads have also been revised. The design of the new Center line rotordisc is intended to reduce annoying squeaking and vibrations that occur. This is offered in the well-known sizes: 140, 160, 170, 180 and 200 millimeters.

The top model Guide RSC, still has the familiar adjustment options such as lever width adjustment and pressure point adjustment. It is specified with a weight of 375 grams and should cost 177 euros.
