Sram's President Stan Day gave another video update today regarding troubleshooting on the first series of hydraulic road bike brakes. Accordingly, the problem, which only seemed to occur at sub-zero temperatures, was due to a production error.
In November last year, Sram had 19.000 series brakes Red and S-700 recalled. In the new series, a little more attention was paid to the tolerance in the manufacture of the individual brake parts. According to Sram, the new series models will be available from mid-April.
