Christian Grasmann and Leif Lampater from the Rudy Project Racing Team closed the winter track season with a win. In the last of five rounds of the Revolution Series, they made the overall victory clear in London.

Even before the final in London it was clear that victory would only go through them. The lead established in the first four laps was large. Accordingly, both went to the start with self-confidence.

However, the British drivers had some objections and tried everything to snatch victory from Grasmann and Lampater. Especially the world and Olympic champion Ed Clancy by Rapha Condor JLT really came up trumps in London, was able to win three races and put Grasmann and Lampater under pressure. “We knew we had a big lead. But we also knew that we had to be careful and collect a lot of points.", said Lampater after the race. And that's exactly what they did. Grasmann won the points race, together they both finished second in the elimination race, and they took third place in the one-kilometer time trial.

As a result, Grasmann and Lampater could no longer take the win away. "It's amazing to win here in front of this cycling-mad crowd", Lampater gushed. "War were the most consistent and therefore also the strongest team", Grasmann also acknowledged the achievements of Andreas Graf, Nico Heßlich, Claudio Imhof and Marcel Kalz, who also played their part in this victory. Already two hours before the race, hundreds of spectators were standing in front of the still closed Olympic Hall and were looking forward to the final of the Cycling Revolution.
