cycling: European Enduro Series: The season is about to start

On the 19th/20th April sees the fastest European enduro riders battle it out on the legendary Italian circuits of Punta Ala for the first podium of the European Enduro Series. The new series will close the gap between the more national racing series and the Enduro World Series, bringing another highlight to European soil. The whole thing is organized by Racement, not least known for the iXS Downhill Cups, and unites six of what are probably the best race regions in Central Europe. Places like Flims, Kronplatz, Reschenpass, Maribor and Treuchtlingen are on the program, although all eyes will certainly be on Punta Ala first, because that's where it will show who has ambitions for the series title. Georgy Grogger is the technical delegate for both this series and the Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series and has already been to Punta Ala for a small test ride.

“We put the course together with the aspiration that everything should be included. There are hard and technical sections, beautiful and flowy sections and some crisp pedaling sections. It will certainly be a tough race and will show the high European standard that we aim to offer in this series. The race will consist of 4 stages - and all I can say about the trails is the riders will make some old foes but also make some new friends”, said Grogger about the planned route.

Registration for the first stop has now been opened and all drivers, regardless of whether they have a license or not, can register for the race. More information and the registration forms are available at www.enduroseries.eu
