Product news: Sram Recall Update: From Hydraulic to Mechanical and more

15 January 2014 by Rick Schubert

sram

Due to technical problems with its first hydraulic disc brake for racing bikes, Sram recalled the components it had delivered a few weeks ago. [Link]

As a small compensation, Sram now offers to exchange the brakes for a mechanical brake free of charge and also leaves open the option to switch to the new 2015 model. This will be released in April 2014. However, if you have made friends with the mechanical variant, Sram offers the option of keeping it and receiving a one-off payment of 150 euros.

According to Sram, if you have any further questions, you can and should contact your local specialist dealer.
