20 January 2014 by the editorial office

Enduro sport, as much as it is pushed by the industry, teams, organizers and riders, is still in its infancy. However, it is foreseeable where the development will go in the coming years. After the first successful season Enduro World Series the UCI took enduro sport seriously for the first time and integrated it into its program with unusually loose regulations. Pure Enduro teams have continued to form over the past few weeks and months, with positive feedback, and new, larger racing series have been pounded out of the ground. There were also a number of rumors about a Europe-wide enduro series.

In terms of the development of the sport, it was said in the paddocks that this was one of the most important advances that needed to be made. In the end, the companies decided TrailSolutions and Racementto plan such a series and to offer the drivers a comprehensive and challenging program. In the past two years, both companies have been able to hold the Specialized Sram Enduro Series gain a lot of experience and let exactly this into the first season of the European Enduro Series flow in. With a total of six events in five countries, the aim is to choose Europe's best enduro riders.

“The European Enduro Series is an important step in the right direction. We have to choose national and international champions in order to be able to push the sport with more attention.", says the Berlin Fourcross pilot Aiko Göhler, who wants to participate more in enduro races in the coming season and is a hot candidate for top 10 rankings.

Further information, the regulations and of course the possibility to register eight weeks before the respective race is available www.enduroseries.eu
