20 January 2014 by Veit Hammer

whale life

On the first weekend in February, the cyclocross fans will be looking to Hoogerheide with closed eyes and also watching the German riders, who are definitely going to start at the World Championships this year with a chance of a medal. Responsible for this is, among others, currently third in the World Cup and reigning German champion Philipp Walsleben (BKCP-Powerplus). The Kleinmachnower leads the German squad. In addition to him, Marcel Meisen (Kwadro-Stannah), Sascha Weber (Veranclassic-Doltcini) and Michael Schweizer (Stevens) have also made it into the national team.

Also part of the team is Hanka Kupfernagel (Maxx Solar), former world champion in cyclocross. She will be supported in her race by Germany Cup winner Lisa Heckmann (Stevens), Jessica Lambrecht (Stevens-1a) and Elisabeth Brandau (EBE Racing).

The junior squad of the Bund Deutscher Fahrrad (BDR) is led by reigning champions Felix Drumm and Ludwig Cords.
