cycling: 6-day race Rotterdam #6: The defending champions win again

8 January 2014 by the editorial office

rotterdam

Dutchman Niki Terpstra and his Belgian teammate Iljo Keisse successfully defended their title at the 6-day race in Rotterdam. Up until last night, four teams held their ground and delivered an exciting battle. Jasper de Buyst and Kenny de Ketele, who started last night as leaders, managed to further increase their points account, when Terpstra and Keisse started to win the final round with 27 laps before the end of the last competition, they had nothing more to counter the attack.

From a German point of view, the race ended on a happy note. Leif Lampater finished fifth together with his Dutch partner Barry Markus. Marcel Kalz and Robert Bartko followed in seventh place.
