Every year, the Sunday at the 6-day race in Berlin is reserved for families. So it is hardly surprising that numerous families flocked to the auditorium of the Velodrom this time. And they got a lot.

After the fourth day on the 250 meter long track, Leif Lampater and Jasper de Buyst are still at the top of the overall classification. They were even able to extend their lead further. With 211 points collected, they passed the 100-point mark and were credited with a round. Kenny de Ketele and Andreas Müller follow in second, a round down and 162 points, ahead of German duo Robert Bartko and Theo Reinhardt, who join three other teams two rounds down on 139 points.

“The Berlin Six-Day Race is for everyone! You could experience this unique mixture of sport and entertainment again at our family day", said Sixdays organizer Reiner Schnorfeil after the fourth day. “From a sporting point of view, our racers have again shown great races. It will be really exciting again in the next two days when the overall victories are at stake.”

In the stayers, the European champion from Switzerland, Mario Birrer, set an exclamation mark with pacemaker Helmut Baur. He also defended his overall lead. However, the Dutchman Patrick Kos secured the day's victory with his father René as pacemaker. Behind him, Frenchman Benoit Daeninck with pacemaker Holger Ehnert and American Zachary Kovalcik with pacemaker René Aebi surprised in second and third place.
