General: Dinner is served…

...or better not it, but her. We are talking about the tools for the upcoming season. And since we not only want to take part in our races here on Velomotion in our exclusive team blog, but also want to let you take a look behind the scenes, there is now a small preview.

After our joint team training camp in Spain at the beginning of the month, the next important appointment for me was on Wednesday. As a team manager, you're not only responsible for coordinating the races, but also for working with the sponsors. So, together with our chief mechanic Jochen Lamade, I drove to our supplier Simplon in Bregenz to receive the new road and time trial frames.

Alexander Steurer, Simplon's team representative, was already waiting for us on site. Thanks to his preparatory work, he had already prepared the other materials in addition to the frames, we were able to start building straight away. Our goal was to set up the 30 road bikes and 10 time trial cars by Friday evening - unfortunately we didn't make it. But who doesn't like working at the weekend when you can feel like Christmas is starting a little earlier this year.

The street racers are all based on the Simplon nexio and are with the high quality Deda 35-Components, Campagnolos Chorus 11-speed group and Explorewheels, Selle Italia saddles and Arundel bottle cages. The Mr.T time trial bikes are also more than impressive with similar equipment. The bikes are light, stiff and look extremely fast: it's a pleasure to have such good partners.

Now only the successes have to come. But who knows, maybe we can celebrate at the Vuelta a Tachira in Venezuela in mid-January.
