The ergonomics specialist SQlab developed a new saddle especially for triathletes and sporty racing cyclists. The "613 Tri"- The saddle was adapted to the needs of time trialists and should therefore offer special advantages in the typically stretched riding position. It combines the step shape typical of SQlab with a recess in the middle of the saddle and a wider saddle nose. The stepped saddle concept was developed for the "613 TriSpecially adapted because the special seating position means that the pelvic bones usually no longer touch the saddle and the pressure is distributed almost completely to the pubic bone. This adjustment is intended to relieve the dam.
The saddle nose has been widened in favor of the contact surface. The genitals should be caught as gently as possible and experience better cushioning.
Despite these features, SQlab managed to make the saddle 175 grams light. To achieve this low weight, SQlab uses carbon struts and uses Marathon foam for padding. The saddle is now available in stores and costs 179,95 euros.
