Prologo is known as a specialist for innovative saddles. In the past few months, the Italians have been able to cause a stir, especially with their models with nub pads. The so-called "Connect Power Control"technology, CPC for short, on which the nub pads are based, guarantees a firm fit "in the saddle": "It's impossible to slip!" At least that's what Prologo suggests.
Since the developers were obviously satisfied with the technology, the company looked around for other products in which the use of the upholstery would make sense. The choice fell on another important point of contact between the rider and the bike, the hands.
Prologues "CPC" Gloves are available with both long and short fingers. I tested the short finger model and used it in a large number of races in Germany, Holland and Belgium.
The "CPC" are anatomically well cut and therefore have a good fit. They lie wrinkle-free on the hand and are also tight on the wrist. Even after repeated tightening, the waistband did not widen. Tabs that are worked in between the fingers help when taking them off. The back of the hand is made of spandex and has the company logo on it. The real highlight "CPC" are the already mentioned padding on the palm of the hand. A total of ten pads are processed here per hand. These do not have the same comfort as you might know from gel pads. In any case, this does not detract from the pleasant wearing comfort.
Since the seams are well finished, there are no chafing points, even during tough races - whether it's stay-at-home events on the track or normal races on the road - where you often pull on the handlebars. I also noticed the good sweat absorption. The hands usually felt warm but dry during use. In general, they showed up "CPC" resistant to external influences. Even driving in adverse weather conditions and repeated washing could hardly harm them.
The "CPC" may seem a bit unusual at first glance. However, the grip they offer and the good workmanship make them a serious competitor to established short finger gloves.
