cycling: UCI World Championship: Specialized-Lululemon wins women's team title

The first title at the World Championships in Tuscany has been awarded. The Specialized-Lululemon team with the reigning German champion Trixi Worrack and Lisa Brennauer dominated the women's team time trial and beat the other teams by more than a minute. Specialized-Lululemon only needed 42:51 minutes for the 10 kilometers from Pistoia to Florence.

Already at the first split, Specialized-Lululemon was clearly in the lead and continued to extend it until the second split. Here, the Orica-AIS team was still in second place, but could not keep up the pace until the end. Rabo Women rode a strong finale to secure second place on the podium.
