Last year, London's Hyde Park was the venue for the triathlon competitions of the Olympic Games. This year he once again welcomes the world elite of short-distance athletes. There were no surprises in the title fights in the U23 class. For both men and women, the favorites, who were put on one, prevailed.

Frenchman Pierre Le Corre won the men's competition. Thanks to a strong running result, he referred
Australia's Declan Wilson and Spain's Fernando Alarza. The Swiss U23 European Champion Florin Salvisberg was also able to keep up well at first, but eventually lost touch and ended up in 14th place. It went better for the German Maximilian Schwetz, who was able to celebrate eleventh place.

The women's race was much more confusing than the men's. This was mainly due to the Briton Lucy Hall, who pushes the pace while swimming. In the course of the 40-kilometer bike course, however, she was asked. Thanks to a strong mileage, the Australian Charlotte McShane finally secured the title. Only a few seconds behind, the U23 European Champion Hanna Philippin lost the fight for the medals against the two Canadians Ellen Pennock and Amelie Kretz and had to settle for fourth place.
