General: Giant presents its 650B collection

August 2, 2013 by Rick Schubert

Giant Trance Advanced 27.5

For the coming year, the Taiwanese bike manufacturer Giant is offering a total of nine series of 27,5 inch wheels.
The 650B collection offers the customer everything the heart desires, from XC hardtails to all-mountain fullys.
For Andrew Juskaitis, Giant Global Product Communication Manager, the matter is clear: "For us, 27,5 inches represents the optimal combination of low weight, maximum efficiency and maximum driving control with clear advantages in terms of acceleration capacity, rollover behavior and traction. 27,5 inches is the legitimate successor to the 26 generation. 27,5s are more agile than 29ers in demanding terrain and accelerate better than 26ers.”

For all models you can choose between the AluxX SL aluminum and advanced-level carbon versions. There are also several equipment variants. This is how it will be, for example "XTC Advanced" be available in four variants.

In addition to the hardtail classic "xtc" will too "Trance" and "Anthem" placed on the big wheels. For all full suspension bikes, the award-winning "Maestro"-Spring system set, which should offer the best possible response behavior with a linear spring characteristic.

For the first time, Giant will also be using 27,5-inch wheels for its e-mountain bikes.
