General: Garmin Vector: "Simply measure performance"

August 15, 2013 by the editorial office

In 2011, Garmin introduced the "Vector" wattage pedal system for the first time. After extensive tests and an optimization phase, the revised version of the measurement pedals has now been presented. The new system should not only be cheaper than most systems available to date. Above all, it should offer more and be easier to install. Simply screw on the pedals and off you go. Garmin Forerunner 310XT and 910XT, Edge 500, Edge 705, Edge 800, Edge 510 and Edge 810, as well as ANT+ compatible bike computers from other manufacturers can process the values of the pedals and give the rider immediate feedback.

The measurements are realized by eight highly sensitive piezo elements, which are housed in the pedal axle and are therefore protected from wind and weather. The pedals work independently of each other and together weigh just 304 grams. They will be available in stores shortly and cost 1549 euros.
