General

General: Bresset again world champion

August 31, 2013 by Veit Hammer

France's Julie Bresset (BH-Sr Suntour) had a rather rough start to the season. A serious injury threw her back in the first few months. However, in recent weeks she has already shown at the World Cup events that she is back. Her confident title defense at the XC World Championships in Pietermaritzburg underscores that.

Bresset put her stamp on the race from the start. Together with the Polish Maja Wloszczowska (Giant) she broke away from the other drivers. On the last lap she finally managed to get a small lead over them. Behind them, Esther Süss placed third.
